Perth-based psych/punk band, Hideous Sun Demon, formed in 2013. Their first two years saw them become one of the most prominent local bands in the state, winning local band competition The Big Splash in 2014 and releasing of their debut EP Meat and LP Sweat in 2013 and 2014 respectively. The latter received significant community radio play, with the single Moan For Jesus reaching #2 in the AMRAP Metropolitan charts. Sophomore LP Industry Connections was released in October 2016 on Pilerats/Warner Records. The singles Cul-de-Sac Vision and Bad Girl both received national radio play on Triple J, the latter being premiered on NME. Their third LP, Frame Erotic Dream, is set for release early 2018 through new Melbourne based label, Hell Beach, lead by singles Idiotic Dream and Hard Out (Nov 16).

Featuring band members Vincent Buchanan-Simpson on vocals/guitar, Jake Suriano on bass/vocals and Blake Hart on drums each with extensive experience playing with multiple bands including Koi Child, Dream Rimmy, Kitchen People, Terrible Signal and Regular Boys.

Since their inception, Hideous Sun Demon have developed a reputable national presence - fast becoming one of the most prominent local bands to come out of Western Australia due to their blistering live shows. Having set out on 5 Australian tours, one NZ tour and constant one-off east coast performances Hideous Sun Demon are sure to be playing in a city near you soon.
