Energetic post-punk from Melbourne, Victoria.

Hideous Sun Demon have quickly established themselves in their new city after moving interstate from Perth. With their new drummer & a stripped back 3 piece line up the band recorded the 'Good Time' EP in January at Silk Road studios Brunswick. 'Can't Live Like That' is the first single from the 4 track EP which comes out July 2019. An accompanying video will be released along with Australian/European tour announcements.

2018 was a big year for Hideous Sun Demon as they release their 3rd studio LP ‘Fame Erotic Dream’. The foundations already laid by the band on previous releases Industry Connections (2016) and Sweat (2014) have been impressively built upon with this new collection of material; the trio have gone further in exploring some blistering soundscapes, all the while upping their artistry and talent as instrumentalists.

‘Fame Erotic Dream’ has seen the band touring nationally, receive great support from radio with plays across Triple J, RTR FM, 4zzz to name a few and featuring across a plethora of media outlets Including Pilerats, The AU Review, Hhhappy, The Music and Music Feeds.

Sonically, known as contributing to our ever-emerging Aussie psych-garage crop, (King Gizzard frontman Stu Mackenzie mixing their previous LP), the now three piece of Vincent Buchanan-Simpson on vocals/guitar, Jake Suriano on bass/vocals and Andrew Blackman on drums bring with them a unique blend of psych-punk garage rock that packs a punch.

2018 just wrapped up their 14 date ‘Fame Erotic Dream’ nation-wide tour, adding to the band's great wealth of live shows including City Limits festival (2018), Emergence Creative festival (2018), Volumes Sydney (2017), In the Pines (2017), Gizzfest Perth (2015, 2016, 2017), Big Sound (2016), St Jerome’s Laneway fest (2016) and Southbound (2016)
